Key features at a glance
One office identity
Employees can make and receive calls from almost anywhere with a single number1,2—and quickly and easily switch between their desk phones and BlackBerry smartphones.
Helps organization achieve regulatory compliance
To comply with government or regulatory requirements, an organization may need to record calls made and received using mobile phones. BlackBerry MVS calls are routed through the organization's phone system, ensuring organizational policies are met by enabling call logging using UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) standard and auditing. BlackBerry MVS is designed to work with leading third-party recording solutions that help organizations achieve regulatory compliance.
Voice over Wi-Fi calling
Calls can be made over Wi-Fi® at work, at home or in Wi-Fi hotspots to address cost, coverage and communication needs.4
Calls anchored in company phone system
Calls are anchored in the organization’s phone system to ensure company policies are met by allowing organizations to log and audit calls made from BlackBerry smartphones using an office phone number.
Extension dialing and other desk phone features
Enable calls to and from internal business extensions on your employees’ BlackBerry smartphones. Employees can also access desk phone features with an intuitive menu that displays call options on the BlackBerry smartphone as they become available.1,2 Call transfers, switching between calls, call filtering, call forwarding3 and integrated voice mail are only a few convenient features offered through BlackBerry MVS.
BlackBerry Enterprise Server integration
BlackBerry Mobile Voice System integrates with BlackBerry® Enterprise Server, allowing your company to optimize its existing BlackBerry wireless infrastructure. Each call from a BlackBerry smartphone is automatically authenticated by the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to help prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing the organization’s phone system.
Call continuity in areas of poor or no data coverage
Monitoring, identification and alerts keep administrators aware of outages, failure conditions and recovery, and troubleshooting tools help to easily diagnose and resolve call issues. Enhanced call timers with administrative control help improve the continuity that calls made to and from a user’s business number will be processed successfully, even when a device has poor or no data coverage.
